Craig Martell

Physiotherapist, Clinic Director Cobourg

Craig graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1996 receiving a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. He has over 24 years experience treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions from neck and lower back pain to sport specific injuries. Craig believes that the combination of manual therapy and active exercise programs lead to optimal patient outcomes.

Craig utilizes a multi-modal approach and provides his patients with proper education to treat their injury and prevent future reoccurrences. The continuation of learning and the expansion of evidence-based skill sets are ongoing commitments for Craig.

His client centred-personal approach to treatment have garnered him a loyal community following in the Northumberland area for more than 20 years for which he is eternally grateful. Craig is proud to call this community “home” and has raised his 3 children in Cobourg with his wife Jessica who herself works as a healthcare practitioner at Northumberland Hills Hospital. When not at work, Craigs passion includes coaching lacrosse, having coached locally at a competitive level taking him across Ontario and even to the USA for several team competitions. Other interests include boating, travelling, curling, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.
