Kelly Abbott

Growing up, Kelly always knew that she wanted to be involved in health care. With a powerful sense of empathy and compassion, Kelly gravitated towards the health sciences and enrolled in the BSc Human Kinetics program at the University of Guelph. During the four-year program, Kelly was highly involved in volunteering with a physiotherapist in the care for a stroke patient at the St. Joseph’s hospital, where she truly gained an appreciation for the life changing support a physiotherapist can give their patients. She went on to volunteer with a few different organizations, allowing her to work with a vast range of age groups and varying level of abilities.

Kelly enjoyed playing and coaching rugby and baseball during the summer at home in Belleville. By the time she had her bachelor degree, she had already had her sights set on the Masters of Physical Therapy program at Queen’s University. Upon graduation, Kelly knew that there was nowhere else she’d rather practice than in her hometown and works Monday to Thursday at PhysioHouse Belleville. Kelly is thrilled to positively impact her neighbours and friends throughout the community and would love to discuss your health concerns!
